Satellite TV provider... Which one ?

Ok guys/gals one more dumb question;

Which satellite TV provider to go with ? Bell, Shaw Direct, Vmedia or Sky Choice seem to be my options.

I have a hardwire phone from Bell already so there is an option to bundle it with them and my internet is with Xplornet which I believe is connected to Shaw Direct somehow.

Have you got highspeed internet ?? If so, check out DreamTV....30 bucks per month and 500 plus channels....

Whatever the highest speed that Xplornet provides over their satellite ? But if I have three tv's going and people using the internet I'm thinking things would slow down to a crawl ? Not too mention eat up my data package. I'm no geek that's why I'm asking. LoL !

I’m going to dump bell shortly. Thier speeds here can’t handle the internet tv box I bought but that may not be the case where you live.

I use Xplornet for internet and just recently changed over to their best plan that has no limit in data and the maximum amount available. I currently have a Bell dish for TV but will be looking for something online soon.

Bell and Shaw offer the same programming, just packaged differently. Yes, Shaw and Xplornet can be bundled, just like your Bell phone and Expressvu can. I also have Xplornet wireless internet, and I wouldn't want any device that ran through internet because the speed fluctuates too much for reliable streaming.

I use Bell Express Vu because I need it at my cottage and my rural home. It's expensive and franklythere isn't much on most of the time. I bundled my landline in with the Bell. When I'm away I take a vacation break on the landline and it does save a little. As the number of Bell dish customers drop off I'm expecting the cost for the remaining customers to increase as it did with landlines when cell phones took over. Our cell signal just isn't dependable.

I use a hotspot from Rogers for a small amount of data and internet.

I never realized rural living meant giving up the internet essentially unless you want to pay 4 times the city rate. I'll take the rural living though....any day ofthe week! LOL.

I know the towns of Port Rowan and St. Williams just got fiber optic lines put in to service them but it will be forever before they install that quality of system out in the sticks where I am. I'm getting quotes from Bell and Shaw and will just have to choose my poison … so to speak. LoL ! I'm leaning towards Bell as that's what is here now.
