Moose hunting WMU 17

Hello all! I have been successful in getting a cow tag for 17 and would very much appreciate any info for hunting this WMU.. I am looking for a cabin to rent too. thanks in advance any info is much appreciated.. Ron

WMU17 is a difficult zone to access. Sure you can drive there but I am not aware of any Tourist outfitters to rent any cabins. Cabin rentals will be with a FLY IN outfitter.
You can drive up to the OGOKI river and boat into WMU17 but the last time I was up there it was a little village of people from southern ontario doing the same thing.

Try to call any close by Fly in Company,who caters for fly in fishermen or hunters.
Nakina Air,Air Ivanhoe ,to name a few...
They may put You onto someone having a cabin up there-they service them regularly,so they know.

There are no private camps or cottages in unit 17. The best that you can hope for is that an outfitter will rent you an outpost cabin,

luninburger has cabins out of Nakina

Percy Lake is on the boundary between 17 and 18A you would only be able to hunt the north shore.
