Looking for some suggestions
If weather is warn during the Moose hunt, is it possible that the Moose may just simply avoid the hardwoods in the day and head for low wet areas?
We hunt 300 acres, and although we occasionally see Moose, there is very little water on our property.
If the weather is warm and the critters move more at night- wonder what our strategy might be ??

We have had poor success in the deer antlerless draw as well.
Numbers are not what they were in 2014.

I doubt they'll do anything drastic. Moose are up and down all day, feeding for awhile then bedding for awhile. If they want cooler temps they'll just head into areas where there are pine and spruce and sack out there for a bit. In the fall, it seems to make little difference to them. The only time I've seen them settle down for longer periods of time is during blustery, windy days.
We harvested (3) deer last year in 49, two bucks and a doe. We drew (4) doe permits this year between (10) hunters. We don't moose hunt anymore due to no tags. Lots of black bear, we harvested (3) this past Sept
Your 40% doe permit ratio seems very good.
We are 0 for 9
Bears abound, but the deer numbers seem low.
Lots of coyotes, so not sure if they are dining on the deer or just encouraging them to stay hidden.
Finding pieces in the woods that suggest one poor guy, made it past the hunt dates, but expired over the winter
