Guys, I’m heading to the farm on the weekend to set up and hunt coyote specifically. Besides taking some during bow and rifle hunt I never really set up for them. What do you use? Calls and decoys? How far away do the e caller go? Where do I position myself? Etc.
in a nutshell what do you do when you go? I have a bush and fields.
All kinds of how too on YouTube, lots of tactics and setup vids out there!!
Biggest equation is to play the wind, keep your downwind open, 10 out of 10 coyotes always circle downwind.
Fence lines and wood lot lines with wind either to your back or a crosswind and open field in front is always the best.Quote:

I'm nowhere near as experienced as some of our resident coyote experts, but my suggestion would be to start with a mouth call before investing in an e-caller, just to see if it's your thing. I've had decent luck with coyotes coming in the the mouth call, and it's a cheap way to start.

I don't hunt them very often specifically, but have had them come in to fawn bleats as well as turkey calls in the past.
