Silly you.
In the MSM, and Liberal reporting they're Patrol Carbines if a LEO are holding them, but when a civilian or non-military / LEO hold them, they are "Assault Rifles" "capable of firing 600 rounds per minute, designed to kill people".
Well the cops are not shooting deer!
Mmmmmmmm ? So a firearm is a firearm until some whacko takes one and kills a lot of innocent people THEN it's an assault rifle ?
Yep,not one bit different in operation than any other semi auto hunting rifle except for aesthetics. Full auto (selective fire) have been banned in Canada since C-68,although,some people who are still in possession of some of them can't even take them out of their homes, can never transfer ownership and upon their demise, must be turned in for destruction. It's my understanding that Police "patrol carbines" aren't capable of selective fire. It's always been my personal position that if a certain type of firearm is good enough for the Police, they should be good enough for everyone else with a license and if the general public is to be disarmed, then,so shall be the Police as a matter of course.
Sorry bluebulldog, you made some mistakes in there but all good now - I fixed it for you [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]
Windsor star is garbage news. Last week they reported a guy discharged a shotgun that was "legal and registered". So I sent the journalist a newsflash that no shotguns are registered and he needs to find facts before he assumes them. Of course I got zero response. Same as when I wrote to them about when they called 2 guys shooting out of a car "hunters". I reminded them the term hunter is reserved for those that follow the law, those that dont are actually called "criminals" or "poachers".
The news sucks these days, ever since most papers went digital it seems there is less effort and proofreading done. Ive seen more intelligent literature on the bathroom stalls at the truck stops.
