Aggressive Calling

Every once in a while you just have to call back to a mixed flock really aggressively. I called these birds for almost 15 minutes and then a pair of Toms came in. First time trying my new motion stake. So far so good.

When you hear a wild bunch of hens going at it, it sure lets you know it really doesn't matter kind of calling you do. Have at it , make them crazy :)

Hens and Toms were all going crazy. Probably the most fun you can have calling. The other videoI posted was of two of the Toms that came in from that bunch. First it was 4 hens being super quite, the a single hen followed by the two Toms.

I’ve found that if you can get a boss hen really ticked off, things can get interesting in a hurry !!

One of my fav tactics especially if the Tom's are henned up. Match the Boss hen note for note and make your calls a bit louder and a cluck or two longer and get her fired up. Most times she will come in looking for this hen and bring the Gobbler in tow. Only catch is that you often have lots of eyes on you by the time the Gobbler is in gun range so you need to keep your movements to a min or you will get busted.
