Lake Ontario Fishermans to Shell Pier

Out on the water by 6:30am... Headed out from Fishermans Pier toward Shells Pier. Set lines down about 1km west of shell pier and got our first fish (shaker) right away even before I could setup the 2nd rod, What looked like a promising start did not materialize. We had 3 fish on but for some reason or another we could not bring them to the net....Things just did not go our way today...... Off the water by 11am.... Fished mostly in 120-130FOW.... On our way back toward fishermans pier, (2.5 km (GPS) from fishermans pier) in the 80-90fow just as I was about to raise my lines out of the water for the day, we marked lots and I mean lots of baitfish balls..... I wish we had more time to fish that area but as you know, sometimes life gets in the way....It was very calm out there though....
