Looking for recomendations for companies in Lanark

Does anyone have recommendations for reliable, reasonably priced companies in Lanark for the following work:

• Service or replace water pressure tank
• Wett inspection and possible modifications to installation of wood cook stove
• Work on metal roof, snow/ice guards

I am looking for companies that do a good job quickly, are honest, and charge a reasonable price.

Clean Sweep in Perth have been good to deal with in the past. As for roof and plumbing repairs, call Mr Trudeau. He has a whole army of workers at home that he is paying. Lots of tradesmen there, just not too ambitious. Also get them to leave their phone in the truck while they are working. Good Luck.

If your pressure tank has a bladder that has lost pressure and is causing the pump to click on and off excessively it's sometimes a simple remedy to repressurize the static pressure in the bladder. I've done mine three times now, usually get around a year each time. Takes maybe 5 minutes to do.

Yes, I just tried that yesterday, so we will see how it goes. It only had 4 psi after I drained the tank at the start of the procedure. I had the well and water system inspected before I bought the place and the guy told me the bladder might be ruptured.

I'll give Clean Sweep a call.

Yea mine was down low like that too but as mentioned after getting the pressure back up to 28psi I'm getting around another year before it gets low again, so what leak there is is very slow. You may want to check the schrader valve to see if that's where it's leaking. If it doesn't last very long then yea a replacement is warranted. Good luck.

So after filling the bladder, the system seemed to work better with longer cycles between the well pump turning on. Then when I drained the system a few weeks ago in preparation for winter, there was A LOT of air coming out of the water line. I am assuming that this means the bladder is pretty badly ruptured. Can anyone confirm this is what's going on? Unfortunately, I didn't check the pressure in the bladder after I drained the system, but I suspect it is probably down close to 0 again.

A lot of that air could just have been in the lines, the first time I did it and drained all the lines in the house it did that. Then when I just shut off the valve to the house and drained the tank there was no issue. If it did seem to work better the bladder may be ok or at least last a good while before needed a top up again.
