I want to share my experience with Spypoint products and customer service over the past 5 years. Spypoint has replaced 7 Link-Dark cameras in the past 12 months. There was a string of defective cameras Spypoint manufactured. The Spypoint 'technician' are not well versed on their product and how to provide good advise to set-up the camera. I noticed every 2-3 years my Link-Dark has a problem and I contact Spypoint for a replacement. Currently, the camera is showing a Modem Error meaning the cell transmission if defective and requires replacement. The replacement had a problem with the main screen, two horizontal black lines. During the hunting season, you can expect to wait 60 minutes before someone answers your call. The Chat Line is better however the 'technician' aren't well trained to advise on the product. Caveat Emptor .
As I see it, if you know your property has deer on it, you don't need the fancy cell camera option, don't make the mistake I did. If you're laying out food, you will probably replenish once a month at which time you can exchange the SD card. If you want the opportunity to get instant notifications from the cell camera, great, but be prepared to incur some headaches with the camera not working and spending lots of time on the phone with Spypoint.
