Young Bull Down 53A
Opening morning (Saturday) went out to one of our spots and called all morning with no response.
We had lunch and changed location a few miles away and set up and started calling.
Within 30 mins had a bull grunt at the other side of the pond I was set up on with a ridge on the backside of the pond.
As the bull made his way along the ridge I could see the black blob moving thru the trees but did not have a clear shot at him.
Made some soft cow calls and he made his way down the ridge and to the shore of the pond grunting all the time.
He went behind a big white pine and stuck his out looking for the cow in both directions like he was crossing the street.
did some more soft calls and he finally stepped out and gave me a shot and bang down he went.
Can't post the pick been at for 2 hours now
