Have noticed couple dug spot in hay field just thinking coyotes or fox have been digging at mouse or mole rabbit holes
I know of 1000ths of acres of bush that sees little human traffic that kinda scary if hogs are smart enough to hide out there till corn crop/soy crop is knee high
I could have twelve guns here with one txt within a hour with just a mention bacon

The vitals are not as far back as on a deer, shoot for the shoulder, not behind it or you may get into the gut quick. Oh, and there is not a lot of belly meat, good chops but not a lot for bacon :)
According to friends that hunt hogs in the US on a seasonal basis,they say .270Win 150gr SP does a fine job on hogs. In fact,.223
and .243Win varmint/predator loads work well,too. They're not hard to kill. Doesn't Elgin County have a .243 by-law?
i'm always curious about the restriction on the farmer's right to defend property. say my neighbour who doesnt hunt, he's allowed to shoot nuisance coyotes. no one will bat an eye or ask what kind of rifle he used. not advocating for being the mushroom eater when yogi bear writes a citation... just thinking out loud...
