Maybe they didn’t go for violence, but they definitely wanted confrontation. Look at them yelling and goading the police. That is not a peaceful demonstration. “Hold the line” also sounds like a battle cry. Just saying.

Welcome to the new totalitarian regime, where standing your ground is now violent.
Just like words are violence ("micro-aggressions"), only white people can be racist, you can be healthy and beautiful even when you are morbidly obese, men can give birth, etc. The new rules of clown world.
Except that it is not "their ground" to hold. The protestors are squatters who were disrupting and menacing the people who do own the land.
The protestors who heeded the police warnings are on their way home. The protestors who chose to stay have only to blame themselves for what happens to them. The woman in a walker who fell when the horses advanced would be a prime contender for a Darwin Award although her age may put her out of contention.
Protests are supposed to cause disruptions.
Still a shame our government only called them names from the beginning.
They are on public land owned by everyone lol.
I seen an older man looked like he was a 100 too standing his ground.
It's painful watching the government play its people for an opportunity.

No protest lasts a much longer than the government of the day wants it to. The only question is how far the government wants to go to end it.
The land isn't owned by some trucker from out of town who decides to park his rig on it. It is controlled either by the federal government or the municipality and if the protestors don't leave when asked they'll be removed and if they get hurt in the process that's on them.
Did the protesters use a flash bang?
