really, what is it with squirrels?
does anyone have a scientific paper that plausibly explains why dogs tend to react differently to squirrels than to other prey?
I thought it was a reference to the movie 'UP'? Maybe I'm wrong.
I think the dog sees the backyard as his territory. The JRT will go for chipmunks, moles, mice, racoons, birds , people - anything in the backyard that in his mind isn't suppose to be there. He sits up on the top of the couch in front of the big window looking out on the backyard to keep an eye on things.

(Still too hot to do anything but sit in the basement and post pics. :) )
That's a heck of a nice lookin pooch there Sharon. That snow picture cools me off a bit too. Thanks.
Thank you.
I've always had a JRT . Love my setters, but there's something about a JRT that always makes me smile/tested.
Taught the most difficult kids when I was teaching , worked at the jail /PP for 20 years and had foster teens. My husband says a JRT just continues my need for a challenge. :)
LOL You don't want to rent this guy. He eats strangers for breakfast. :)
