So we are in agreement. Since the first covid was a non event for the general population then there is absolutely nothing to worry about the variants.
The fear mongering continues and is propagated by corrupt politicians.

It's so safe and effective, both the producers and the governments have zero liability for any and all negative effects, because its an experimental drug that is use at own risk..lol
If it's so safe and effective why are they talking a third shot?..lol. it couldn't be more obvious, they really don't have a clue what their telling the people.

No in relation to your original post I can see that went right over your head. If a 1 percent change can turn a human into a tree climbing different species 1/3 the original size than I am certain a 0.3 percent change can totally change a single trait like ability to re-infect.
What surprises me how few home grown Canadians have not seen much of Canada....their holidays always seem to involve getting on planes and head out of country.
I've been across this country 4 times. I hitched hiked out to Vancover once, took a Greyhound bus back. Took a train up to Churchill Man, worked up there for a few years and saw a great deal of the north. The military was kind enough to drag me and my family coast to coast on various adventures. We've never felt the need once to leave the country for a holiday.
This country has beautiful, it's vast and glorious. Places to see that are grander than anywhere else on the planet.
Vacation in Canada this year. Travel to places you've never been. Support the Canadian tourist industry, spend your money where it will help a fellow Canadian recover from the losses incurred during the pandemic.
For what it's worth I think the 0.3% change is in the spike protein, which is what the vaccines target. So in terms of vaccine effectiveness, variants are indeed scary news. In terms of how this impacts people... well let's say I'd rather my immune system wasn't providing a "strong immune response" to the most rapidly changing part of this virus. On the other hand, if I catch covid and survive (well over 99% likely), the next strain will be so similar to the last, I shouldn't have to worry about getting very sick.

I am not going to get into the details but there has been some concerning medical issues that I am aware of in my immediate circle of family and friends. I know a few handfuls of people that were diagnosed with covid and most would not have known without being tested and the few that had symptoms were very mild. I am typically not the conspiracy type but when all the conspiracy start coming out as true its hard not to question this whole thing.
