These are not quite comparable. Refusing to serve an intoxicated person is a liquor licensing requirement and smoking is similarly regulated. There is no longer a legal requirement for restaurants to require proof of immunization from their customers.

I always enjoy these long threads ! They start here and meander all over the place and end up so far from the OP you sometimes think you entered a portal to an Alt universe. ROTFLMAO ! Back to the OP; Read the article (as suggested ) and found it interesting but not outstanding as it only points out the obvious .... haters will hate because it's their natural state of being , non-believers will not listen to your viewpoint no matter how calmly you tell it to them because they think the loudest side of an argument will win the day. My Mom always told me "Believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see" along with a strew of other old adages.

I am personally in support of banning discrimination at all levels, but requiring vaxx cert AFTER mandates have been dropped - is just insanity. Restaurants doing that should be at very least charged and sued under the same law

It's not that insane when you consider the psychology IMO. It's simply a way for people to show they are not ready to admit everything they believed was in fact a lie. They need to feel like they are gaining some sort of advantage over the peasants.

Masks can continue to be voluntary. And as I've said further back in the thread, any establishment that still requires proof of vaccine, despite the fact that it offers literally zero protection for patrons, has succumbed to irrationality and spitefulness.

It's funny how people don't appreciate the irony of supporting discrimination that happens to fit their political agenda. Selective outrage, double standards, etc.

Personally, I think he’s a manipulative crackpot that is only in it for the money. But still I find it incredible how many people are willing to fall for this nonsense. Sometimes it feels like common sense is taking a vacation for an undetermined amount of time. We live in crazy times but I fear things will get worse before they get better.

Let's see ... even CBC referred to his press anouncements as misinformation that was quietly rolled back later in the day.
