Could of been a wounded bird....how did it fly?
I'm thinking late migrant. Wounded bird would be recovered eventually we are not talking pheasant here. Tempted to go look into some hollows along lake Erie. With this weather sure there must be a couple left may be the first year in a while you can hunt them till closer.Quote:

Going on a big grouse hunt north of Kaladar Friday, took the day off. Probably too far north though for any slow migrants. We're still in the 10 degree area so not surprised they're still around.
