I'm starting to question those huge numbers...mid summer here and the folks were standing in lines for 4 hrs and only registering 10,000 tests a day. I was just outside and no-one, who is showing signs of a flu, is going to stand out in that for very long..Quote:

I honestly don’t know what to “make of the numbers”. Human nature is human nature. I don’t doubt numbers are being spun.
I acknowledge for example the issue around co-morbidities. I’m ok with the way we count Covid deaths. If I have a perfectly survivable condition ( diabetes)....Buy Covid does me in......
not ok with the fact, when we exclude LTC deaths, our numbers are “tiny”.
Not ok with the way non Covid deaths are being swept under the rug.
I mean, if some guy is depressed having lost his job. Abducts his son, crashes into an OPP cruiser. Gets killed along with the 1 year old boy.
Shouldnt those be “Covid deaths?”

Agree! Nowadays people with respiratory illnesses or heart disease are living lengthy and active lives because of medications, contract Covid and die. Thats a Covid death, period!
And I don't care if they fudge the numbers of daily infections. Do what it takes to get the brain dead behaving more responsibly.

My brother in law died of prostate cancer 2 weeks ago. Never made the news....
