The issue is that the technical expertise and experience levels do not lend itself to opening jobs up to anyone in rural Canada for a cheaper price. Data entry or customer service fine - I get it, these are lower skills and with min training you can be proficient in 2-3 weeks and work remotelyQuote:

True to a degree 4100. Much would depend on the specific job. But to assume there aren't hundreds of thousands, or millions of qualified people somewhere else in the world, willing to do it for far less.......If I think back to my old life on Bay Street, and the tens of thousands that used to occupy the towers on a daily basis. All working from home since March. My daughter is one such. She could be replaced in a heartbeat, as could a whole bunch of people in everything from insurance, to banking, to trading, to back office, mid office and accountants, and on and on.
I happen to know two highly paid people in advertising. No doubt, they are good. After searching for a "cottage" they are now looking at moving to South America. All they need is a good connection. I'd bet a lot money there are people just as good, just as qualified, willing to work from home, where ever home may be, for far less than they are paid.
