I will have to tell a friend who purchased ammo at Sail ,(Oshawa), without a drivers licence, ( he lost it for impaired), that he got away with one. How did he get there? His son, who has no PAL. Lol.
I think that the liability disclaimer also covers them if you blow yourself up while reloading,
Or if you shot yourself with a Gun you bought there ??? HaHa..
I looked on-line and didn't see any requirements to fill out a liability form to buy/order Primers on-line from Cabela's.
Seems really odd.
You should have come back thru Richmond Mark and stopped at 'That Hunting Store'...they don't play silly games.
Not sure about the liability issue but the confusion over drivers licence or not is understandable. You obviously need a PAL to purchase ammo but thanks to Dalton McGuinty and the Ammunition Act of Ontario retailers have to record your name and address when purchasing ammo. Other provinces don't have this requirement and in those provinces you just have to produce your PAL. Now as for primers and powder that falls under the Explosives Act whereby you don't need a PAL to purchase but must produce your name, address and phone number, if you have one. Of course I could be wrong on all of this but I don't believe I am. TC
When you purchase ammo at Cabela's they don't need to record anything because it is all entered in their database when they scan your PAL at the cash. At That Hunting Store the information is copied from your PAL manually.
