"If you know FFF's history on the forum, you know that he wasn't going to be the best fit as a moderator.
Send a PM directly to MeghanOOD or AleshaOOD the administrators." quote Mike Pal

Now that's not fair Mike.
He has always been a gentleman on here, avoided arguments, and made a great contribution to the dog forum. He became a Mod not for the glory, but because he was concerned about the forum and wanted to try to help.
I was asked to be a Mod and clean things up. As a worker at the jail and Probation/Parole , I knew I could do it , I can be tough, but also knew I would lose my friends and gets raked over the coals as you have done to FFF. A former Mod said to me. "Don't do it Sharon; you don't need the abuse". We should be supporting our Mods in any way we can.
PS Megan is on maternity leave.
I think you missed FFF in his hay day Sharon..he was on a lot of the folks 'ignore' lists. There are a lot folks that are like Dr, Jekyll and Mr. Hyde when they go from say the Dog Forum, that is their bailiwick and venture into the off topic forum and get into arguments.
I agree we should support the Mods, a thankless job. But doesn't mean they are above scrutiny when they violate forum rules. They can and should be reported.
Talked to by PM privately, not publicly. imo
Sharon-i totally agree with You, we should support them !
However-not unconditionally!
While i did not deep dive into the barter,as above-i had a "case" not long ago, where several posts-mine among them ,were removed, without "justification".
My take is this-if a post is removed,it should be clearly indicated -why.
Without pulling out the stick of infraction!
Nevertheless the process of removing posts should be CONSISTENT.
If a post is removed due of not fitting the "rules"-then the Mods. should monitor AND Moderate posts LEADING to those posts -eventually not "liked"by the Mod.in charge of the day.
You see-letting some go away with"murder"then moderating the reply leads to lack of trust.
Once i was told-THIS is my Forum, i need to act as part of it.
Great!
Then WHY posts are removed without letting people know what was wrong-AND penalizing people's urge to reply to a very provocative and very low post?
Arbitrary decision making will lead to lack of transparency and distrust.
You are absolutely right. I'm a mod on another forum. We always let people know WHY their post is unacceptable. They get 3 warnings before removal. Every member should be treated equally. Mods aren't perfect, but certain procedures MUST be followed.
It seems like a good time to put out a reminder that swearing is prohibited on the forum. To further clarify - disguising swear words by deliberately misspelling or abbreviating them doesn’t make them any less offensive. Several curtesy PM reminders were sent out today.
No offence but it would appear you have never spent anytime at a hunt camp?.....:)
Oh Fudge....
(perfectly acceptable on prime time TV) HaHa.
(my wife is worse mouth than the guys at the Hunt Club Haha. )
Heaven forbid someone is offended by a misspelled swear word mabey some people should take there meds and not have a total meltdown over the most miniscule things. Really some people if they do happen own a pair of big boy pants or big girls pants for the matter should try to wear them more often they would be better off for it.
