There's a lot of places to stash firearms, drugs and whatnot in campers, semis and SUV's but I guarantee customs knows or has seen where everyone of them is. It just boils down to the logistics of checking what vehicles.
$1000 each??? Try at least double if not more on the street.
A box of 50 rounds of pistol ammo will get $500 on the street.
I’ve heard that street firearm trafficking can be much more profitable then my example illustrated. But my point was, why continue to feed that system of profitability, by throwing up so many barriers to the legal trade in firearms. It really makes no sense and seems to promote very little public safety when it appears they are only able to catch and convict so few. .Quote:

Boy what a difference from what you guys have to go through with regards to firearms - I can go over to Cabela's right now and buy a couple handguns and an AR type rifle and take them home - once you pick out the guns you want you go over to a area where there are computers set up - you fill out the forms on the screen and they get an ok from a check that is made on you - if you have no criminal record you are good to go with the guns - right now the biggest problem is getting ammo for certain caliber guns - so many people have bought guns that the ammo makers are having a tough time meeting the demand - the 9 mm handgun is real popular right now
