The rioting would be extreme of he somehow gets off. For the sake of the country, they need to convict with everything they can justify. And I'm sure that won't be enough for some.

Tensions are so high, almost have to think it's a no win.
They have a duty of care, once in cuffs. Obviously not present.
If he's guilty of the lessor charges, the "L" will not be happy. "Once again, police abuse goes without justice, let off easy
If he's found guilty of murder. The "R" will not be happy. "railroaded to appease the L"
If found innocent, look out

So true Werner - busy making a living - most people think this officer was really stupid for doing what he did - I consider myself a conservative but look at the way this officer acted I won't be bent out of shape if they throw. the book at him - it's guys like this that give the police force a bad name - over the years a lot of cops used excessive force and got away with it - once people got cameras and filmed what was going on things started changing - somewhat - there is a law introduced in Congress to make a cop responsible for any fine or money paid to a victim rather than have the public taxpayer pay - Floyd was all doped up at the time - that probably contributed to his death but the cop's actions triggered it - why would anyone want to be a cop in today 's environment
