What is it with some of these women - they wait years before they bring any issue of sexual harassment up - they should report it right away so that the culprit is stopped and deal with -
One of my jobs in the company I worked for was to investigate claims of harassment (sexual or mental) reported to management. I won't elaborate on this forum for obvious reasons, but, one of the phenomena I (we) found was that for every allegation, there was always several other women who lined up behind the original complainant making allegations of their own against the accused. It was almost like a game of female "oneupmanship" to see who could come up with the most exaggerations to bolster the complaint. We always took these one step at a time and usually resolved the complaints successfully one way or the other. Once we started to investigate subsequent complaints, every last one of them turned out as unfounded allegations (polite term for bald-faced lies),but,I digress. The bottom line was that in every incident, not one time were they ever called to account. The company always elected to ignore them completely rather than make an issue. That was extremely frustrating.
