Now why do you suppose they have a PAL renewal every five years? It opens up your file for a background check, over the past five years. Now however it will be opening up your file for a lifetime background check. In your youthful exuberance did you ever do something that may have rated a police incident report?Quote:

It doesn't mean that necessarily. It means if you have events in your past beyond five years that may preclude your being issued a license you will be asked to explain them. If your explanation is not accepted and these events are used to deny you a license there is an appeal process.Quote:

Do you really trust this government? Remember they said none of their gun control will affect hunters or sport shooters yet here we are with even paint ball and airsoft guns being prohibited, meaning at some point you won't even be allowed to possess them. This lifetime background check for first time applicants will be a trial balloon with lifetime checks for renewals to soon follow. TC
