Hub blinds

I cannot stand hub blinds........setting them up is like wrestling with an octopus. Not sure what is worse when trying to be stealth like the noise of me wrestling with that pig or me cursing as I am trying to get it set up. I have tried two different brands of hub blinds and they both treated me with utter disrespect - LOL.

I use pop up blinds - Ameristep Dog House. I use them for turkey and deer (bow and gun). They are comfortable for long sits and when bringing new hunters that may be a bit fidgety.

I'm going back to the old-style Dog House blind with my next purchase. I bought two of the 'hub' designs on sale at CT and find them awkward to shot from.

Those hud styles also collapse too easy with very little snow falling on them. I had to run a tie line over top between two trees to tie off the top eyelet to prevent collapsing.

I agree.......that when they collapse that way and you do not pop the side hubs you end up damaging them like under a snow load. Dog house blinds are WAY easier and quieter to set up IMHO
