I do the same thing.

My observations for the Kawarthas/ Minden Bancroft area. Best open water day fishing for walleye is a changing barometer and a 10-15km wind. SW or west are usually best days. Fishing the wlleye bite at nightfall in the late fall - definately the best bites are at full moon. Wonder if my Rapala is more visible in thwe moonlight?
Ice fishing - dropping barometer has always been good for me (right before a storm is coming in). Night bite for walleye - definately better on full moon nights. Never had good fishing during an established low front.
