Of the few pigeon racers that I've met, I doubt that any of them would give away or sell their their culls to a dog trainer as "kill birds". They MIGHT let them go to a dog trainer who they know and trust will continue to care for the birds as homers (no shooting, retrieving) for dog training.

Exactly------- You can get cull to breed , but difficult to get as shooters. Even when you can get them as shooters , make sure you don't miss ashe finds it in his loft you will not likely get any more.

I agree... As someone who has both bird dogs and races homing pigeons.

I’ve got 4 remaining barn pigeons. Flying them daily. They’ve become training partners :)
