We mag fish the Kawarthas. Lots of coins, nails, hooks, even bbq utensils. It's fun and inexpensive to start.
I can give you some tips.
If you are "dipping" a magnet around docks then get one that has the eye in the center of the top face.
If you are "throwing" it and retrieving then get a mag that has the eye on the side, it wont tip up when you draw it back.
I made a telescopic pole from a painting handle and put a big eye screw on the end for the rope, like a tip top rod guide. It helps to dip it and cover the target area better.
Mind the rope behind you and make sure it's not a trip hazard to onlookers (oh they come to see) and that the tag end is tied off so you don't lose the works.
Happy attracting!
Any tag requirement ,season or bag limit???........;););)
Just could not resist:silly:
Well I got the 25 dollar magnet from Amazon. The magnet is supposedly rated for 330 pounds and I lifted a 100 pound metal plate.
The rope well I doubt it could hold more then 150, it looks like para cord.
I think I will keep it the magnet is pretty cool.
