Brutal how work has taken over our lives and our ability too disconnect and enjoy the simple things.
I’m finishing my week off tomorrow.
It was good to get away from work.
Enjoy yourself.
Bon voyage have a good one GW.
Take care and have fun
Did you get to fish?
Vacations ? I remember them well . Work hard all year and as a reward get to take time off to do absolutely nothing or do whatever turns your crank ! Now that I'm retired and supposedly on permanent vacation there's nothing to look forward to, every day is a work day/vacation day. I swear I got more out of my time off and/or vacation back when I was "punching the clock" ? LoL ! Enjoy your trip !
Actually he is back by now i think............maybe a trip report is missing?:)
Yes, hopefully it went well, haven’t seen a report?
Yes we got back. So I'm not a big fan of cruise ships. I found the food only a bit better then McDonald's. I'm not into comedy show, dance bars or gambling. Played in the casino for 3 hours broke even and found it boring. At a hotel I could go check things out in the evening meet people maybe go fishing.
Wife and I were in London for 3 nights. So we toured London for 3 days. From London we went to Dover. I really would like to have stayed there for 2 days, when we walked down from the hotel to see the ship I saw people fishing for Mackerel off the shore, that brought back memories of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
In the UK your allowed to walk down the street drinking a beer. I loved that.
I think next time I would rather fly and then jet set around a few countries.
I would like to go to Finland, Sweden, and Norway maybe try to squeeze in Denmark.
Stay in hotels and find private companies for excursions.
I also didn't like being away for 14 days.
