Here is what I would do or have done in the past when hunting in the bush....
Setup so the wind is blowing in your face or crosswind (never have the wind entering the bush to where you think the coyote is)
Setup with your back facing the field so you are just inside the bush, less likely they will try and circle you
Setup within sight of the field and with your back towards the field but you are looking into the bush ( depending on the bush type 10-50yds in works)
Setup the caller about 10-20 yds in front of you. The thicker the bush, the closer to you. FYI, The bush tends to make the call echo a lot so start off with a low volume sound and slowly increase it
Setup in the more open part of the bush part but that open part, eventually leads to a thicker/dirtier bush
Since you are calling into their bedroom, anytime of day would work. Snow on the ground will certainly help with seeing them because in low light conditions, it can be extremely difficult to see them,
Hope this helps a bit
Oh, I always try and have my back up against a tree to help break up my outline
Buckshot would work, treestand works as well, dawn or dust are the most percentage time to be out but like I said, anytime in their bedroom works, key is to get in there undetected
Good luck
