Lol, it’s a bit hypocritical to take your stance considering your party supports BLM which burns, loots, and kills people and vandalized public property. As to the majority of Canadians not agreeing with the protest, I guess we’ll see in the next election, ( if it’s honest)

The best outcome of course will be felt in the next general election, Mr Poilievre who has STRANGLEY been very, very quiet on this matter will be paying a big price for his support of the occupiers.

Who could possibly trust this guy to be a PM when he walked and supported this mob.

Thanks Pierre for giving Justin all the Ottawa votes, votes from law abiding citizens in Windsor, parts of Alberta.

Canadians are a pretty forgiving lot but you van bet your bottom dollar this occupation and end result will be top and centre in the next election cycle, with all the opposition piling onto PP.

Imposing the federal legislation was unnecessary. The police had more than sufficient authority to clear the protestors. The Ambassador Bridge blockade, a far more serious disruption, ended without the need for federal help.

Nevertheless, the commission has lowered the bar for when this Act can be used. The Liberals gushing over the commission report should keep this in mind when their party is no longer in power.

Totally unnecessary use of the EA. All this would of been avoided if the PM silly socks would of taken the decency to talk to the protesters.......but instead he would rather take a knee at a BLM protest! It's a very sad day in Canadian history when our own government decides to seize bank accounts of peaceful protesters.

I think we all have a very different opinion on what peaceful protesting actually means.

It was actually very peaceful for the time running and arrest made was very little compared to some others.

Did they need to use the emergency act no probably not.

OK, how about the following:

1. Completely blocking traffic on a municipal road ( HTA).
2. Disobeying municipal noise by-laws ( City of Ottawa).
3. Criminal harrassment of those who attended downtown who did not support their message ( Those who chose to walk down Wellington, Slater, etc wearing masks).
4. Disobey court order.
5. Criminal trespass ( Rideau Center, which was forced to close, putting close to 200 people out of work for the duration).

Do not confuse apathy on behalf of law enforcement with legality.

IF, the convoy protesters had stayed on point about message, then it might have had more credibility. However, the organizers chose to allow hangers on, and the disenfranchised to join...creating an environment of chaos, and lack of credibility.

By contrast, look at the tractor convoy that occurred several years ago under Harper.

The right is always good, the next election will be OK if we win it only. LOL BLM are supported by many more in Canada than the Liberal party, but lets hear about all this looting and killing taking place in Canada. If your talking about America then BLM has been vindicated many times over and police officer's and civilians taking the law into their own hands are getting jailed every day and tens of millions of dollars rewarded to the families of "murdered black citizens" . You really should tune into some MSM outlets and hear and see this for yourself.

You will also hear about white supremacists getting jailed for trying to kill Michigan's Governor to folks who stormed the Capitol.
