Apologies for the rant in my last post. Just getting weary and one too many whiskey Fri night.
Got the mechanic looking at it next week but suspect I will likely replace it. Toying with downsizing the truck and subing out equipment floating needs. Savings on stickers, renewals, inspections, maintenance and fuel would likely go a long ways to covering the costs and the balance could just be worked in to job prices
Sadly...you could literally change the engine and tranny and what-ever else it needs for a hell of a lot less than 120k.
I'm currently leasing a 2021 RAM Warlock. Return date for me is July 2024. If my lease ended today, I will be paying more than double for the same truck with only a 12,000k yearly KM allowance :(ugggg!.
If things don't change with the Lease rates and terms I'm tapping out of leasing and will buy it out for the $35,000.00 residual value! :)
that the problem with leasing, the mileage. every new vehicle I have bought the dealership tries to get me to jump for the lease. Sounds like a great idea until you get to the mileage talk. I put 20K at year on my jeep on average.

Brother has a 2005 3500 diesel dually that he wants to get 2 years out of yet before he retires it. Doesn't do as heavy a workload as it used to when he was still farming but has been to NFLD for moose and the last 2 years to Alberta for mulie and elk. He keeps a 10 year old F150 for putting around. Figures in 2 years it'll owe him nothing. Lol

Don't worry about stellantis we have their backs. We are building their empire and they will create our jobs. They partnered with the partnerships for cushy tax slush funds paid by us. Like their products or not the government does. Funny how 2/3 thirds of the money went to the you'll own nothing groups. But it's to biuld our economy we will all benefit from from it right ?Quote:

Keep on fishing if your in a good position to do so. Don't expect prices to drop to fast so prolonging it could only cost you more.
If you wait a year or so and get a truck now have the company pay it off and keep it out of the sale. Hopefully you'll getting a few years of trouble free hassle. Buy the sounds of it it's a quick decision . Take the year or 2 to better your future position from the company benefits then retire. If your already there then enjoy it while you can.

Funny you should say that I was talking to my BIL while in Arthur this weekend. Told me a horror story of a neighbour who purchased a Longhorn top of the line model. That baby broke down with 87kms on the clock, apparently numerous parts missing like wireharnesses and so forth. So bad they gave the guy a new truck, he had that a few days and his tranny kind of fell out of the truck, not bolted in properly but I think he had actually got over 100klms on that one.
