I like a thin leather glove that fits tight enough to shoot with .I wear them mostly for dogging thru the rough stuff to keep my hands from getting cut up from all the stickys ,,,mitts are the way to go when it gets real cold just pull them off when you shoot ,,Dutch
Here's a great secret from my winter camping excursions. A simple pair or surgical gloves under any glove will increase the temperature ten fold and still provide excellent dexterity. A thin pair of manzellas or UA coupled with surgical gloves are toasty and great for trigger finger touch.

My hands get cold late in the season when on stand, I bow hunt mostly, I've never found a "glove" thats effective, I now just go with a good pair of wool mitts, they come off quite as a whisper, weigh nothing and keep my hands toasty warm.
Down muff hand warmer around the waste. Then you don't need gloves.
