How to go about getting an additional deer tag for 2014

Do the additional deer seal hunt codes change each year or do the 3 digit hunt codes stay the same each wmu.

ok thx,I never tried last season for an extra tag and this season I will. I just needed to know if the deer seal hunt codes for 2013 I found would stay the same so I can just use the one that would apply to me.

The antlerless tag quota has already been posted. The excess tags are the result of that quota not being met in the original doe tag application. You will have a pretty good idea if there will be excess doe tags, by comparing the quotas from last year to this year. In our area in the Northwest, one WMU stayed the same, while the bordering WMU only dropped 200 tags. Good chance for excess tags again this year.

Not all wmu's have extra deer tags

Additional Deer Seals have nothing to do with the antlerlesstag quota.The numbers are now out forthe Additional Deer Seals for this year.From looking at last year’s numbers in my areas it seems the MNR havecut off all the Additional Deer Seals.It was expected after the bad winter we had.

Wow, they really cut the extra seal numbers. Not surprising I guess.
