I have been trying to find out more about attending rendezvous. Never put much thought into it. My dad and I have been talking about it. Expect to see me at one soon.
I'm a man of many genre's. :moose: I like my flintlocks but I have no aversion to centre fire rifles, caplocks, rimfires, compound bow's, long bow's or crossbows or dare I say In-Lines.
I shoot Lyman GPR flinters. My boy's have Lyman Deerstalkers in flintlock. One got a huge bear with it a year ago. #3 in the province for muzzle loader's not to mention flintlock.
I finally had mine in my hands this year and harvested a nice doe with my .54 GPR flintlock. Not my first muzzle loader deer but my first with a flintlock.
I have my eye's on a TVM custom build but I need to put together the scratch for one......one of these days. I just have to sneak it in past the wife.:ninja:;)

Welcome to the forum! If you get a chance send three down range and post up the good , the bad and the ugly!
HA
I just got my lock back together and am ready to once the darn rain stops.
Many years ago I started off with a Thompson Center .50 call Hawken type , enjoyed it for quite a few years, Proceeded on to a .54 cal . Sharon Barrel Works kit that I put together. And I have since sold the TC. 50 cal.
My .54 cal. is also a Hawken type , half stock percussion . This rifle is amazingly accurate and still use it periodically , but now I also own a .50 cal. Savage smokeless in stainless steel which I use most of the time during our controlled hunts.
I use my 45 for even the regular season. Except this year I hadn't put it back together and was doing some work on the lock.
Black powder, muzzle loading shooting is ADDICTIVE!!!
I started in 2006 and keep buying them. Having said that I will be posting in the For Sale section a
Thompson Center Renegade .50 flintlock.
Started in PA with the 50 cal Tc Encore flint before the seasons here, now have a 50 cal in line traditions xlt with the knoxx recoil system and find it a real pleasure to shoot as well. Have taken deer with the flintlock, use the in line for the moose hunt now.
May have to look you up some time mr.r, not that far away from you and travel thru the falls on way to bogie quite often.
bogy63. I want to take dads 58 cal Hawkins up moose hunting. I have been trying to get him to go for years. He thinks moose camp is all about drinking. I tend to take it I little more serious. I think a 60 plus bull with a flintlock would be sweet.
