Yeah like last year I called in 8 and I wasn't using a decoy on any of those sets and this year I've called in 3 without a decoy so far. I just hear it a lot that they sit in the cover and watch the field and Im wondering if them being able to see movement will help get them to come out without as much hesitation and therefore ill see coyotes I otherwise wouldn't have.
I read you can use turkey decoys. Once they are called in, they seem to forget it was a rabbit in destress the heard. I hope to try it next week when im back in the bush. Has anyone tried this?
I contacted the MNR a couple years back seeking clarification and sent them the following pictures, explained I was coyote hunting and if I was legal with my e-caller inside the decoy. They responded it would be fine but best not to use it for coyotes during an open turkey season... Never did try it but I would imagine it would work well...

Primos mojo critters, and I will let you know if I ever see a coyote this year....:-(
Tonight i watched a Randy Anderson dvd. They had a stuffed decoy. I was thinking of getting a 3d target of a coyote and trying it. Any thoughts?
I shot two coyotes last spring, sneaking up to my turkey decoy. There's no reason why a turkey decoy won't work now !
X2 on the turkey decoy... Coyote attacked mine last year... No6 shot... 3.5... Did the job no prob...!
I use an Icotec GC300 and the primos heart decoy. Covered it with leftovers from my last tanning project and have it draped with raccoon fur. I use the mouth distress caller first to get some really good distances. Then switch to the remote caller. This usually only gets them to the edge of the bush. Once they see the motion decoy they can't resist.
