Bit on the heavy side. But if someone asks which rifle I would recommend between the .243 and the .270 I'll recommend the .270 every time. As far as I'm concerned, and a good many gun authorities are as well, the .270 is the most versatile cartridge for North American game.Quote:

If deer and coyote is your game get a 243.
The 243 also harvests moose, elk and black bear year after year with great success. Any one who claims they are minimal for deer couldn't be more wrong.Quote:
