LMAO.. Ty, Ill take those into considerations.. Now are Pullets more expensive than pellets and do they measure out the same ? :p:p
I bought a CVA Accura V2 this month in stainless. I was thinking of getting it in the nitride finish but decided against it after reading about 100 reviews this past year. A couple of them complained about the finish discolouring after periodic use. All the other aspects were well liked and no complaints from the stainless owners. This was a muzzle loader recommended by a rep from Western Powders after I contact them to correct ignition problems with my Kodiak last year.
Does any body know, what process they use for this coating???
Apology, MP, for veering off the topic a bit ......
I noted Traditions now offers the Vortek "LDR" that has the capablity to reach out quite a bit as per the following demo ....
Interestingly, they are also offer a hammerless version called the Strikerfire .....
No problem, I see that Traditions uses the Premium CeraKote Finish , a ceramic coating;
Quote:
Cerakote is a ceramic based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers, and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness.
I hadn't realized there were so many kinds of coatings that you can get for your rifles. It looks like a crowded market. I started to read some comparisons to see what is best, but hard to find a proven test report, mostly just anecdotal user information out there.
I was surprised at how many guys get there Stainless Steel barrels coated....
