If they have the budget, sure.

When Ontario’s harsh winter weather puts our whitetail deer population in crisis, it's no coincidence that anglers and hunters come to the rescue through participation in the OFAH DeerSave emergency winter feeding program. In conjunction with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the OFAH DeerSave program was created to coordinate volunteers for breaking trails, browse cutting and emergency deer feeding in areas where high snow levels and extended periods of extreme weather could cause large-scale starvation in deer wintering areas.
Uninformed winter deer feeding can reduce the health of animals, and even kill them if it is not done properly. Anyone thinking about feeding deer should contact the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR) first. Feeding deer straight grain or corn, alfalfa, or hay can do more harm than good. Feeding under the DeerSave program takes place only under strict OMNR emergency feeding guidelines.
The DeerSave Action Plan, and Fund Applications are available by contacting Mark Ryckman by email at [email protected] or at the OFAH's Head Office:

Phone (705)748-6324
Fax (705)748-9577Your donation to the OFAH DeerSave Fund is tax deductible and will be directed in full to winter deer emergencies as they arise. It is a most direct and effective way to help wildlife when they are in greatest need.
LOOKS LIKE THEY STILL HAVE THE PROGRAM ???
Might be something to bring to Calteks attention. He could likely clarify/point us in the right direction.
i will be emailing Mark he is the one in charge of the program and see what they have to say
Hello I hope you had a good family day and enjoyed the outdoors
Todays email is sent in regards of a forum chat on the oodmag site, about deer being in trouble and the MNR has no money to feed deer. It has come to my attention that money was donated to the OFAH in the past and my question is How much money is in that account and how much can be accessed by concerned hunters who wish to help out the deer herd in there area .
How do we go about getting the money for the deer program
Sound good, look forward to his response.
no I haven't fished a stock lake lately.... And I hunt turkey's ya.... And I PAY good cash for that... As far as elk?...I really don't care... I do buy deer tags and I would like to see where my money goes back into it... You got checked by a c.o?... Nice to see .... Wonder how many tickets he gave out?... More cash disappearing... MNR should help the Deer population ... Not turn there backs on them when in distress... Elk?... Couldn't care less....if you think it's ok then you get your head out of your -ss...
You know it sometimes gets a little old watching the complaining on this site about were your money entrusted to the mnr goes , I mean everyone found this site but can't find that info as well, it's all out there and not real tough to find , I've posted them before on here but nobody seems to care until it's time to complain about something
spa account
provincial budget mnr
goggle led these to find were the money goes
Why is everyone looking at the MNR? I have fed they deer a couple round bales of second cut alfalfa this winter. I did not need the MNR to hold my hand in doing so. Buy a bale and put it out. Problem solved.
