A gas powered version with the air intake and exhaust in the handlebars for fording watercrossings. Electric start with headlights on the handlebars as well. Always been paranoid about a dead battery on an electric vehicle. At some point that battery will need to be replaced and when it does the cost could be huge....
This reminds me of the diablo rouge from the late 1960's.

I would want some serious fenders on that sucker before I'd take it through slush...
Reminds me of the Husky snowmobile from the 1960's except it was gas powered!
Anyone know the cost of one of these?
same idea as the diablo rouge, It was the first machine ,I had seen , and driven. You sat on a bench seat above two ski's. Had to be carful not to sit too far forward and have your knees under the handlebar loop. If you hit a dip it would come down and hit your knees. Hurt like .... . They did beat, snowshoes. I bought my first sled a 67 skidoo, 10 hp. good machine, light and would go anywhere. Shortly after.
This looks like it would go , to a lot of places as well. I would hope the battery system would be dependable. old243
I remember both the Hus Ski and Diablo Rouge snowmachines. I had a Elan 250 at the time and one of those Diablo Rouge blew by me spraying snow, ice and blue smoke.
Looks pretty neat! More portable then a sled...
excellent point...Rugger...lol
The thing is kinda neat....easy to see a guy and his portable sled type hut heading out on the lake in deep snow...
Probably pretty heavy if it runs out of juice....
but easer to throw in a smaller generator to pull around...for emergency charging....
or solar cell powered fenders...for you Mr Rugger...lol
