I did the foundation seminar and it was great. I would go again if the opportunity was there when I have another pup to train. He knows dogs and is a great teacher as well as a real nice guy. He teaches his training methods, but I learned the most just from watching him handle the dogs, the patience and knowledge he has rubs off and will make you a better trainer.

When you see Rick take any dog randomly off the chain gang at his seminar and has it doing things that the owner of the dog can't even believe it's his dog, that it's all of a sudden standing and not moving with a bird in front of him with about 5/10 minutes of handling by Rick, without saying a word to the dog, you almost feel/think that it's a set up, but it's not, it's real and it's happening.....

Bdog, Sharon and Jakezilla are right, no matter what level your dog is at, the Foundation Seminar will change what you think and what you expect from your dog. I have taken the Foundation and Intermediate Levels and both were inspirational. Rick is a remarkable individual and excellent instructor. Highly recommend the programme.

Where would one of these take place? Definitely would like to do a seminar when I get my pup.

If anyone is planning to attend one of these seminars please contact the person hosting the seminar you wish to attend. The poor economy has affected attendance over the past couple years and some seminars have had to be cancelled. I am pretty sure the one in Michigan got cancelled last year.

August 9th and 10th at Gold Creek

This is Sportdog's game farm, where the seminar is held. I'm sure he would be glad to answer any questions about the week end.

Time to sign up folks.
Valuable for any pointing breed ,and actually the philosophy of training a gundog is so well covered that any gundog owner would learn plenty.
