So you are insinuating all ATV owners trespass on private property?
I don't think so. There are just as many who don't own ATV's that trespass.
I think you are painting everyone with a broad paint brush.
Very very BOLD of you.

Our gang uses ATV's to get into where we hunt. After that, they get parked and aren't used again until we either get something down or it's time for supper.
Yup that's a good video of what not to do when hunting using an atv . He forgot to bring beer and is wearing a helmet:scream:;) .
TD
I dont own an ATV, probably not in my cards.
In Nov (rifle) I hunt 53A. We (group) are zero (tag soup) for 3 (years)
In Dec (archery) I hunt 47, right in the heart of loring deer yards. Thick as fleas they can be. We (group) have a couple ATVs and a couple guys that dont. I sure hate walking the 2 clicks to and from my stand when its -25.
We are 1 (tag filled) for 2 years.
So if having an ATV will up my success ratio, where do I sign up, because obviously not having one has me eating tag soup
:)
I haven't got any numbers to back it up, but I would guess that statistically speaking, you would be wrong. ATV's have their place, especially when it comes to moose hunting and handling heavier animals.
There's a big difference between cruising around with an ATV until you see something shoot-able and using an ATV as a tool to help with the "heavier" parts of the hunt or covering more ground in a hurry. Being able to get a place quickly to set up for a run with dogs means more hunts/day which usually means more deer shot. Saving time on heavier work so you can spend more time in the bush usually means more success.
I'm sure your 6 years of hunting has given you lots of insight on this type of thing.
I wouldn't own an ATV but this is something else.I can bring a young pup along and teach him to gut, clean, and skin game.I can't walk or work hard any more but over 50 some years of hunting,I know a few things.
Uuuhmmm. That is an All Terrain Vehicle. Commonly referrd to as a "Side by Side" version of one.Quote:

As for the original post I will offer him to pull the next big buck out of the bush that our group shoots from some of the swamp stands we have lol. Given he doesn't like large groups he'll have to leave after he's done and go sleep in his car (cause only 4x4 vehicles make it to our camp anyway) and we'll enjoy a cold one sitting on our ATV's (we can them 4-wheelers eh)....JK:silly:
