You want a model you can sit on the bar while you climb, I see Summit came out with an Open Shot which is very light but the climb is dependant on your arms for top half, get the full wrap around bar, you can stop at any point in the climb and rest, pause, look around etc. When set up you can lay your bow across the front if you want. The Vipers seat lays down the length of your back so you get some built in padding, weight is not bad at all, the only thing I would look at improving on would be shoulder straps, you don't need to swap them out, just slide on a sleeve of extra padding and your good to go for long distances, I have no problem walking in several kilometers with as is set up. What he said ^^^^. The secret is to make sure both pieces are tied together snugly so they don't clank around while walking in and have the straps adjusted properly.

Lone Wolf packs up very small and are still comfortable, extremely well made. Easy to pack in and quiet to boot.

No thanks,I'll stick with make-shift blinds and good camo. Terra firma,good,hanging from a tree,not so much.

The couple lbs diff on the models is really insignificant, the Vipers back rest lays down your back when folded for carrying, so thats covered, shoulder straps are strong but if you add a layer of padding they get down right comfortable, I walk quite a distance and have never had an issue, the Viper allows me to sit on the bar when climbing, pause, look around, etc. Some models (open shot) force you to use arms only which puts you in a position to actually work, I hate that :), plus you can lay a bow across the front of the Viper (padded/quiet) so you can sit or stand with bow close at hand. big bonus, comfortable enough to snooze, you want to get quiet and become one with a tree, this will do it.
