Most of those old ones also need a pressurized fuel tank unless they have been retrofitted with a fuel pump.
Those tanks in good condition can be hard & expensive to find.

Most of the stuff is available, but you need a working knowledge of the old ones as parts catalogs no longer go back that far. I'm in Buckhorn if you need a knowledgeable tech to help you resurrect one of those old girls. ;)
Very. I believe BRP still sells the fittings, but they are over $100 each. Line can be had as well as the priming diaphragm.
Getting rings for the little Evenrude/Johnson motor is a major problem. They just won't idle without compression.
Does anyone do rebuilds of old motors,I have a few I want to get rid of....an old 18 HP Johnson and a newer 9.9HP Evinrude let me know if you want them
Mine is a 2hp OMC. Mechanic tells me he has the parts but not the time.....season is over for the year now anyway. I do have an old 25Hp Elto from the fifties that is free to good home as well....
