Maybe it's his property :)
Glad to see we weren't the only ones that got soaked, 45mm... river spilled over and up 6 feet, our blind was flooded.

well agreed that he shouldve had more respect for the farmers property, and not driven on the field... but if the fields down there are anything like they are up here this year, a couple extra truck ruts arent gonna hurt anything... we put more ruts and barried more tractors up here this year then in recent memories... ever here that song truck got stuck... well that was chisholm/bonfield this year... 100's of acres of hay that still hasnt even bin cut, because fields are too soft...
Hehehehe that's funny
That's all good that the farmer wants the geese gone and will come and pull you out. But I would be concerned about breaking my own equipment and needing to replace it.
Whether the farmer cares or not could this guy not tell that he wasn't going to make it in and out of that field without getting stuck? He might have Big Foots in the trailer but he's not driving "Big Foot". There isn't a harvested field in my area that I would attempt to drive in right now with all the rain we've had.
I just really like how he aimed for the low point instead of staying to the left.
Well....stuff happens... lets hope it all ended well for all involved...
Before I started hunting (I was a late bloomer) I used to let a couple of guys geese hunt on our farm. The first year was great no problems, they even brought me a bottle of whiskey as a "thank you". The following year they came to ask for permission and I granted it and during that conversation I told them the fields were soft so make sure to wear your rubbers. Well I guess that comment fell on deaf ears because when they came for opener a few days later they proceeded to drive right to the middle of our rear pasture...burying the truck to the axles! They paid one of the neighbours to pull them out with a tractor causing even more damage. My son came home from school to witness the tail end of this gong show and they told him they would make sure they fixed the damages. I never heard from or seen them again. Needless to say I never allowed another person to hunt the farm and even now that I'm a hunter I'm very cautious of who I allow to hunt with us.
Mike
Come on guys, give him a break! It's obvious that he was fine for the first part of the trip in. He just hit a bad spot going to slow. I'm sure he learned his lesson and will get more speed going in next time.
Bwahahahahah!
