This is 760 dressed. Don't know how much the guts would weigh?

760 lbs dressed, so take the fat and the bones out of it and he probably ended up with 60 lbs of useable meat that will probably be about as tasty as chewing on a old leather shoe lol of course i know those numbers are incorrect, just makeing a play at how much fat a old bear like that would have, figure i would explain that now instead of in another post later after 50 people correct me... good.. ok lol
especially this year, the little bear i took this year (115 dressed) had alot more fat on him, than bears i have taken the previous 2 years (around 140 dressed), which leads me to believe they are preparing for a long winter... the hide and the fat accounted for almost 50 % of the dressed weight, it was 60 lbs after removing the hide and fat...
What a tank.
Nice bruin
I found the guy on facebook and added him, the full size picture was there, looks amazing. Went back today, to grab it and post it up so you can see the full res photo, and he took it down for some reason.
WOW , beautiful bear!
Tks for that. It's neat to hear it from the hunter himself. Amazing bear.
Funny how the use of the word "harvested" is used in the broadcast. As if hunters really speak like that lol. Oh well...
It must be a freak of genetics bear, but I still don't get how it could get that big without having an almost unlimited food source.
Not that it matters.
Cheers
