Over priced, absolutely. Over rated? that's subjective I guess. I hunt pheasant 2-3 days a week and when you have a couple big roosters in the game bag it gets heavy. That is where these well made strap vests shine. They distribute the weight just like a backpack. Nothing sags or flops around when you move. This is this morning's cargo:

Not really. Missed some woodcock today trust me. My cell phone was in my shirt pocket and the lens got fogged up as I hunted in the rain most of the morning. I need to start leaving a camera in the truck.Quote:

I bought a nice Beretta upland vest from SAIL last year for about $100 (the uglier, newer version is a few more $$). It has magnetic pockets, very comfy, and looks good with my 686! They had the Browning version here, too, but the Beretta vest was more comfortable for me. Just need a couple of Ringnecks to compleat the ensemble!
Also, I've got a really nice Filson upland vest, if anyone wants it. 12oz heavy duty 'Tin Cloth', low use, $100.
