During the day if you felt hungry there was a nice slab of smoked Salami hanging inside the kitchen tent where you just went and cut a chunk off to munch on. Always brought 2 of these as one was never enough.

Steamed broccoli and cauliflower, steamed red German cabbage (rote cole), sauerkraut, coleslaw cabbage salad, pickled green tomatoes, crockpot brown beans, Hoffbrau brats, cabbage rolls, fried onions. Now pack ten men into a 400 square foot shack and feed this in to them. No need for any evening entertainment. You'll have all you can handle about an hour after supper.
We go with a lion of pork or tenderloins , turkey , smoked ham. Several pkg large smoked sausage , smoked back bacon. Lots of potatoes , fresh carrots , turnips .We share the cooking . As far as desserts something we always make is a bunch of apples peeled and sliced in a deep pan stir in a half pound of raisons and a bit of brown sugar. Stir up a white cake mix and pour over everything . Bake till done. always a favorite. Not hard to make. Another apple dish is baked apples , take the core out , but don't go all the way through. fill the hole with brown sugar. Bake in the oven. At least one per person.Usually gain a few pounds. Old 243

Stir fries of all types with rice, go over well. Pizza's at noon. We always do a fish & french fry in the deep fryer(outside) . Taco's or wraps with ground moose, roast turkey, roasted chicken quarters. Pork loins roasted in the oven. I did two bear roasts this year, they were awesome. Scalloped potatoes are fun to make, baked in mushroom soup . Homemade baked beans, boiled cabbage, rutabaga's . Fried onions , peppers, I also make french onion soup, delicious and warms you up after a day in th e woods.
I start shopping in July for bargains. Fed 12 guys for under $700.00. Breakfast is the only challenge we have with creativity.
East what you shoot.. plenty of small game.. bring some rice etc.
