Nice job. If I think about it tomorrow, I'll post mine as well.

Great job on the mount!
That rack's got character, love it.
Very nice!
Oaknut, did you do it yourself or farm it out? I did mine myself and it was a learning process for sure... I have mine hanging in the shed for now until I figure out where his permanent home will be. I don't plan on using a plaque, though.

Im out at the inlaws now and can't see the picture. Wiil check it out when I get home. I do all the antler work myself. Euros, skullcaps, velvet caps and have done a few sets of sheds too. I get a few guys bringing sets by to get done too. Went a little different route with this one and cut the time to completion in less than half.
Edit: Now I can see the pic. Looks real good! I debated on the plaque but will most likely switch it out. The only problem with mine is when he hit the ground he broke his lower jaw and the nose bones were messed up. Wasn't able to save it all.
Ohhh boy if the boys and girls found out I'd work for whiskey....... I would be getting far less work done. Lol. I slowed down this year as it was befoming a job instead of a hobby. I think the tally last year was 46 sets. Granted most were the style of the one below and can be buzzed through quite quick.
Nice work Oaknut. Looks good. My Dad ended up with the "rack guy" job in our group, but he's the retired one so we're doing him a favour by keeping him busy. ;)
I've got to get my partners deer done this was as well. He just wounded it and when we finally tracked him down, I planted one between the eyes before he could get back up. I ended up shattering the skull and the skull plate is in two pieces. I'll have to use some kind of foam or clay or something to anchor the pieces so the rack looks natural.
Well done, looks great! I am currently working on two right now, one for my brother and one for my uncle. Lots of work put into them to make them look that good!
