OR he just made a bad call on a deer and shot a doe that he could have thought was a buck,
I have thought a doe was a buck a few time with the way she was standing and a branch was above its head. Not that is makes it right but not to make make the guy sound like a criminal.

Some of the guys on here say there are butchers who demand to see the tags etc and log the information...that's why I mentioned it. He may have been suspicious....regardless it was more of an off the cuff comment anyways :)Quote:
